Rapid City, SD hosts both Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial, two must-see national landmarks. The town is as beautiful as it is patriotic, surrounded by the Black Hills, and is the home of Ellsworth AFB.

For a combination of history and beauty take in the scenery on Skyline Drive and visit the Berlin Wall exhibit, the Chapel in the Hills, the Badlands, and bronze statues of all of America’s presidents.

Visitors should take advantage of Downtown Rapid City. In addition to shopping and dining, the area is the Black Hills’ hub for local and regional art. Museums, numerous galleries, and a historic theatre are all located within a few blocks of each other downtown.

Pretty all around! And, the hills are amazing!

Presidential statues all over downtown. You don't get much more patriotic than that.

I have lived in and around Rapid City for 10 years and absolutely love it. It's economy is stable, crime is low, and scenery is amazing!! I love the Black Hills and all of the many lakes that are nestled in the middle. Can't get much better than this!!

Historical architecture, museums, art galleries, locally owned restaurants and retail businesses, festivals, cultural activities, blue skies and friendly people make Rapid City a beautiful place to visit.

I love raising my son in Rapid City. The schools are great, the camping in and around the Black Hills is fabulous, and skiing at Terry Peak all Fall and Winter is equally amazing. We feel extremely blessed to live in such a rich outdoor playland!
