Rapid City, SD hosts both Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial, two must-see national landmarks. The town is as beautiful as it is patriotic, surrounded by the Black Hills, and is the home of Ellsworth AFB.

For a combination of history and beauty take in the scenery on Skyline Drive and visit the Berlin Wall exhibit, the Chapel in the Hills, the Badlands, and bronze statues of all of America’s presidents.

Visitors should take advantage of Downtown Rapid City. In addition to shopping and dining, the area is the Black Hills’ hub for local and regional art. Museums, numerous galleries, and a historic theatre are all located within a few blocks of each other downtown.

Rapid City will always hold a special portion of my heart. The beauty of the Black Hills engulf the city and gives it that touch of wilderness with a urban feel. Downtown Rapid City holds a variety of cultural events and attractions. Rapid City is truly the "Best of the Road"!

Rapid City is an amazing place to live and to visit! It is the gateway to the Black Hills. You are surrounded by beauty every where you go in Rapid City; we have wonderful parks, a bike path along the creek, prairies to the east and mountains to the west. Winter, spring, summer or fall - Rapid has beauty throughout them all!

If you look beyond Mt Rushmore there is so much here to check out. Great concerts and performances, delicious restaurants (the Firehouse Brewing Co. is a local favorite), high end shopping boutiques, beautiful parks and bike trails, festivals, museums, and fun attractions like Storybook Island, a free children's park. In the winter you can attend Rush hockey games or go skiing just an hour away. Overall it's a great place to visit and even better place to live.

Lived in this area for over 20 years. Have traveled all over the USA and it just doesn't get any prettier then the Black Hills.
