When you begin to grow up and think about having a family, the place in your mind that you envision is Arvada, CO. This town is beautifully kept, has activities both inside and outside for families to enjoy, and is located between the great Rocky Mountains and the city of Denver. Sincerely, Arvada offers all the big city amenities while maintaining a small town charm. Beautiful AND friendly, Arvada certainly is a jewel.

I have lived in Arvada for 5 years now and it was the best move I have ever made! I love that there are parks everywhere and trails that go on for miles through the city. It has a small town atmosphere with people who know their neighbors and care about each other. It is so wonderful waking up every morning to see the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Arvada really is the Best of the Road.

As a Realtor in Arvada one would think that of course I would promote my city. I chose to live here. So I wont promote it but I will share what many of the couples that I have helped find a house in Arvada, after moving to CO have shared with me. Many have stated that it is such a beautiful city and being set at the foot of the Rockies, it is metropolitan close but outdoor friendly. They are right, in 10 min West of town you can be on a moderate hike that anyone can do that offers spectacular views of the Denver. Cool Mtn. streams can be hiked to after breakfast and have you home in time to go to the Bronco games. Another common theme from new folks to the area is how Arvada has a sense of community and closeness that is not usually found in a suburb of a major city. Between the Chamber of Commerce, Festival Commission and the City Offices all join got host many activities designed to get you out of your house and meeting your neighbors, it is hard not to feel involved. With active farms, open space, bike and hiking trails and canals that run through and connect the whole city, new home owners tell me they like the country feel of Arvada. I agree with them and that is why I have lived her for over 20 years and heck, I look at houses all over this area and I have not found a city that I would rather call home! OK I did sneak in my opinion but can you blame me? I live in Arvada and I'm cool like that! John Bodnar

Arvada is a great place to live. It is next to and actually includes some areas in the foot hills of the mountains to the west and extends east to around Sheridan. There is every type of housing options from higher densities near the Olde Town area where light rail will have a station soon, to areas to the west of larger lots, homes, including some ranches. Arvada's location next to the mountains, next to Golden and Broomfield and Boulder make it an ideal location to live. Access to I-70 is quick and easy. Going east, you can drive downtown in 10 to 15 minutes, or go West and be skiing in the mountains in an hour. Arvada is bike friendly with a nice network of trails and parks. The people in Arvada are warm and welcoming. Some people ask - "where will you move to when you retire"? I say "Colorado is the place to be, and more specifically Arvada"!
