Description

Park City, Utah was founded in 1869, originally as a silver-mining town. It only took a few decades for the town’s population to boom to 10,000 residents in the early 1900s. The Park City Museum offers historic walking tours for those interested in the town’s rich mining history. Park City hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics, where Main Street was the place to be with boundless entertainment. Thousands of locals volunteered to take part in the event.

Recreation-wise, Park City has the basics and more covered. In addition to its several wooded trails, its golf course is consistently ranked as one of the best in the region, while an ice arena and racquet club draws both residents and visitors. Skateboard parks and multi-use recreational parks are also an option.

The spot is also known for the Sundance Film Festival, which has been held in Park City for almost 29 years. This festival takes place every January and lasts for 10 days.

Summers are popular in Park City, when free outdoor concerts are plentiful. There are also international biking competitions in warmer months, as well as a Park City Marathon. Arts and music festivals are great for family-friendly entertainment. No matter the season, the Park City website assures “you’ll never run out of things to do here.”

So much to do - winter and summer... ski, snowboard, snowmobile, in the winter - just to name a few. But - summer is my absolute favorite. Where else can you ride a bobsled at a former Olympic venue? Or ride the world's steepest zip-line? Not to mention the hiking, biking, fishing, golfing, concerts, arts festival, shopping, best restaurants...

Park City is a small resort town that feels like it's away from the hustle and bustle of big city life but it's actually only 26 miles from Salt Lake City and the Salt Lake airport -- which is very handy for big city stuff and travel! Park City is just loaded with historic charm and endless beauty and events and activities. It's perfect for the outdoor enthusiast. I love to ski, mountain bike, hike, road bike, snowshoe, skateski and travel to National Parks. We have 10 national parks within an easy days drive from Park City. Park City has river rafting, wakeboarding, sailing, kayaking, flyfishing and so many more things to do. We have festivals and events that are arts and culture related and sport related. There are dozens of art, music, and food festivals
