If you are lucky enough to be in Punta Gorda at sunset, you will no doubt agree that this hidden gem is the most beautiful city in the US. From the magnificent waterbirds to the lush Banyan trees, Punta Gorda is a tropical paradise. Everywhere you look is a watercolor waiting to happen. If that wasn't enough to make you fall in love with this place, meet a few of the residents! Everyone I met in the week I spent in PG was smiling and genuinely happy to make a new friend. :)

Punta Gorda is the reason we moved to Southwest Florida. It sits right on Charlotte Harbor and the views are amazing. It is also fast becoming an internationally known sailing destination for individuals and competitions. We love Punta Gorda.

I found Punta Gorda in 1993 while searching all over South Florida for the perfect place to retire. In 1996 I purchased my first home and have upgraded several times since. The weather is great here and the folks are just as friendly as the farming community where I grew up. There is so much to do here. Arts, boating, biking, fishing, and golfing, all with a great airport for commercial and General Aviation as well. Punta Gorda has won many awards like this one over the years. Charlotte Harbor has been dubbed the Chesapeake Bay South. After many years of patiently waiting, I am a full time resident assisting folks to purchase dream homes with RE/Max Harbor Realty. Give me a call at 941-875-3230 or email at dale@myswfdreamhome.com and I can provide you any information on the area you desire.

For such a small waterfront town, Punta Gorda has some of the best restaurants in all of Florida. The Perfect Caper has won many awards locally and nationally (top 20 semi-finalist for the South, James Beard Award last several years. We have top restaurants that offer all types of cuisine in a few block radius! Pies & Plates is great for breakfast or lunch or gourmet items. People come from all over SW Florida - a true destination spot, not only for it's beauty but incredible food. But best of all, this small town is truly beautiful. The downtown historic area has so much charm, with Retta Esplanade homes facing the Peace River. We are surrounded by waterfront, from the River to Charlotte Harbor, there is beauty everywhere. Stop at Fishermen's Village at the end of the day and watch stunning sunsets from the Captain's Table. A lovely community, fabulous for boating and fishing, and walking along the many connecting paths along the Peace River.
