Description

Rapid City, SD hosts both Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial, two must-see national landmarks. The town is as beautiful as it is patriotic, surrounded by the Black Hills, and is the home of Ellsworth AFB.

For a combination of history and beauty take in the scenery on Skyline Drive and visit the Berlin Wall exhibit, the Chapel in the Hills, the Badlands, and bronze statues of all of America’s presidents.

Visitors should take advantage of Downtown Rapid City. In addition to shopping and dining, the area is the Black Hills’ hub for local and regional art. Museums, numerous galleries, and a historic theatre are all located within a few blocks of each other downtown.

I haven't ate such good food until I went downtown in Rapid City. My family and I focused on dining at all the local establishments. We haven't had such an amazing meal ever! The value and the taste are incredible, who knew buffalo would be as amazing as it is? The food is fresh and the atmospheres are super unique. I can't wait until I get to go back to Rapid City to eat!

Rapid City is a beautiful town, with much to offer. Rapid City offers the "big city" feel with the small town atmosphere. The outlying Black Hills offer hiking, biking, snow skiing, cross country skiing, gold panning, snowmobiling, camping and many other attractions. There are great places to eat and wonderful local shopping.

Home to Mount Rushmore National Memorial and the City of Presidents, Rapid City should definately win "Most Patriotic!" Rapid City, SD is a charming town full of family activities making it the ultimate family vacation destination. It's positioned in the heart of the beautiful Black Hills - in the center of The Badlands, Mount Rushmore National Memorial, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, Historic Deadwood, Devils Tower.
