Pacifica, CA hosts parks and beaches with coastal, mountainous views and noteworthy sunsets. Only 20 minutes outside of San Francisco, the city cherishes its smaller town feel so close to the city.

Visitors love Rockaway Beach, the Pacifica Pier, Pedro Point, and Skyline Blvd. It’s also home to Frontierland Park, San Pedro County Park, and Mori Point. Linda Mar State Beach is a favorite destination with adventure-seekers interested in surfing, hiking, and biking.

Each year, Pacifica hosts the Pacific Coast Fog Festival during the last Saturday and Sunday of September. The festival offers a hometown parade, plenty of activities for children, and a variety of local artists, vendors, and performers.

You can explore the town using the free Gold Line Shuttle and stop by the Sanchez Art Center, Coastside Farmer’s Market, or Pacifica Skate Park. Be sure to see Portola’s Statue and capture the hills, mountains, and ocean on film.

Great little beach town. relaxing, lots of fun little local shops/restaruants. Friendly locals and clean pretty and easily accessible beaches.

When I moved to the Bay Area from the east coast, Pacifica was where I landed - it is exactly what you think of when you think of the California coast. It's a bedroom community with sweeping views of the ocean and mountains, plenty of hiking and nature trails, and friendly people.

Pacifica has georgeous panoramic ocean views; breathtaking sunsets; miles of hiking and biking trails through grassy fields, along wooded paths, and skirting the coastline; sandy beaches; waves and surf action for riders and spectators alike; and numerous unique and wonderful cafes, bars and restaurants – ask the friendly locals and they’ll tell about the hidden gems! I love the area around the Pacifica pier. It has a nice pathway for walking, biking, and jogging all along the ocean. There's also a clean sandy beach, which is a nice spot to catch some rays, read a book or watch the sunset. The walking path continues all the way to Mori Point, where you climb about 200 steps up to the bluffs to get a breathtaking 360 view. Many hiking trails converge at Mori Point; follow any one of them to continue exploring the coastline or to make your way inland and across the varied and changing Pacifica landscape.
