There are communities where one can feel they are a stranger and not welcome and with Arvada it is just the opposite. From the resident to the business person to those who work in local government, you find a smile and a willingness to help especially for those in need. The Arvada Food Bank enjoys a wide level of community support that is rare. And the City employees are known for their level of commitment, helpfulness, and caring that they practice at work every day. Blessed with a commitment to environmental protection and energy sustainability, arvada is working to limit residential sprawl and practice protection of natural lands and open spaces which is ever more crucial in a time of limited resources and a need to protect wildlife and open spaces. It is also blessed by a quality committed city workforce dedicated to providing excellent services in challenging times and a city leadership working to preserve its housing stock and serve the needs of its senior citizens and most disadvantaged residents

I have lived in Arvada for 50 years. It is a city that has had an active core of volunteers and civicly minded people all along. this has allowed Arvada to be among the most livable and best places to live worldwide. As my wife and I travel a lot we have visited over a thousand cities worldwide. I have yet to find a city I would rather live in!

I was raised in Arvada and still live in Arvada, raising my kids. My family is still here too. Arvada has a small town feel and most never leave. The parks are beautiful and the mountains are close. There is always something going on in Arvada.

Arvada is tops in all categories. I especially like their continued addiition of parks and open space. It has argueably the best tasting mexican restaurant in the state. Olde town has become a favorite gathering place for a wide variety of businesses and entertainment, and the Arvada Center is one of the best small live theaters in the US.

I lived in California my entire life (54 years) until I moved to Arvada two years ago. I can say without hesitation that Arvada is the best place I have ever lived and sometime wonder what took me so long to find this jewel of a community.
