A slice of Americana that takes you back to the many little summer resorts that once lined the Great Lakes. Nestled on the Lake Erie shore equidistant from Erie, Pa and Cleveland, Ohio, Ohio's first summer resort isn't for everyone. No big food chains, fancy 5 star hotels, or even a traffic light. Summer cottages dating to pre-depression days mix with a couple modern condos, 1950 era "mom & pop" hotels, and campgrounds. The famous mile long "entertainment strip" is a rare melange of attractions, from biker bars and two lakefront wineries to amusement arcades, pizza parlors, go carts, and an occasional knick-knack shop. The coolest thing is the fact that once you park your car for the week or weekend, you never have to move it until you head home. Everything is in walking distance. While you won't find Emeril's latest restaurant, you will find everything from donuts and ice cream to a couple gourmet eateries. And nightlife abounds, with one of America's oldest rock nightclubs to a half dozen different places. Karaoke is king, and a couple places have live music every night of the week all summer long. The most beautiful sunsets, nostalgic, funky little shops, Eddie's hot dogs, Madsen's donuts, Piero's Pasta, the oldest miniature golf course in the USA, great wineries, friendly people and of course Lake Erie.

I Love to go to Geneva ever year we have a great time. We hang out at the Firehouse and the beach looking for beach glass. Can't forget to go to Eddie's for lunch and DQ for a big ice cream treat.

Geneva-on the lake is the place we go every summer and look forward to the time of year when its time to go again..I have been taking my family there since they were little and always a good time. It is fun to be somewhere where you dont have to worry so much, its a little more laid back, and theres something for everyone to do,anytime you bring up the name, somebody always says, hey have you ever been here or done this???Everyone in the area knows it and goes, its just a great place for every age to sit back, relax, and have a good time....
