Description

A visit to Washington, known as the Evergreen State, will guide you through some very diverse locations. First, stop at Sun Lakes-Dry Falls State Park where you will see a three-and-a-half-mile expanse of 400-foot-plus cliffs. Preceding the Ice Age, the Columbia River surged over Dry Falls with 40 times the volume of Niagara Falls. Your next stop is the Coulee Dam National Recreation Area; the Grand Coulee Dam is the largest component of the Pacific Northwest's hydroelectric system. A fascinating final stop along this tour is the Boeing 747/767 Assembly Plant in Everett. The site's main assembly building is recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records as being the largest building in the world by volume, reaching an amazing 472 million cubic feet.
