Description

Nestled in the beautiful mountain terrain of Clear Creek Valley, an hour west and several thousand feet above Denver, the charming mining-era village of Georgetown preserves a Victorian past all but lost in other Colorado cities. Almost untouched by modern structures, the commercial buildings at the center of the tiny downtown and quaint neighborhood homes have been largely restored to their original vintage splendor. Walk the cobblestone streets, stop in for a meal at the old lunch counter, browse through the bric-a-brac. You can even ride the train up the valley to the next mining town.
