Virginia is notable for many things, not least of which is the fact that it was the home of eight of the United States' 42 presidents. Four of the first five presidents alone (count out John Adams, who was Quincy, Massachusetts-born) were from Virginia. The Presidential Virginia tour provides a guide to exploring the worlds of two Virginian presidents: Thomas Jefferson and James Monroe. The tour centers around the Charlottesville area where the homes -- very famous and very much less famous -- of Jefferson and Monroe are found. Along the way, enjoy the gardens that Jefferson designed for "his" university and a midday meal like one the Founding Fathers might have so done.
