Wyalusing State Park

Description

Nearly 2,700 acres of forest rest atop high bluffs and ridges that overlook the Wisconsin and Mississippi river valleys 500 feet below. Enjoy scenic overlooks accessible from the road or off several of the park's numerous hiking trails. Wyalusing State Park has Indian burial mounds. Fishing access is available to the Mississippi River by a boat landing; visitors can paddle a marked canoe trail. Bird watchers can witness migrations along the Mississippi flyway. Cross-country skiing is available in the winter, as are individual campsites. Handicapped-accessible sites and facilities are available. Reservations are highly recommended for all campsites during the summer. Pets: Leashed pets are permitted with some restrictions. Reservations and fees: Wisconsin has a central reservation telephone number for all state park campgrounds: 888-947-2757 or 888-WI-PARKS. There is a nonrefundable fee for each reservation made. Wisconsin state parks charge a nominal daily entrance fee per vehicle.
