The Walmart Museum

The Walmart family’s first discount dry-goods store has been re-created, complete with vintage merchandise and a shiny checkerboard floor, to look just as it did when “Mr. Sam” opened it in 1950. High-tech interactive displays mix with folksy ones, including Sam Walton’s modest office and his old Ford pick-up. An old-fashioned soda fountain at the Spark Café is a sweet place to take a break. Admission here is free.
