Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

Set on a beautiful mile-long beach, this seaside amusement park offers a mix of “nostalgia” and “new.” Not only is it a State Historic Landmark, but among its more than 30 rides are two National Historic Landmarks: the 1911 Looff Carousel and the 1924 Giant Dipper coaster. State-of-the-art attractions include Undertow, a unique spinning roller coaster. There’s also bowling, laser tag, miniature golf, boardwalk games and an arcade, shops, and food vendors.

Park admission is free, though you’ll need tickets or day passes/wristbands (a good deal!) for all rides and some attractions. There are year-round events, along with summer’s free concerts and movie nights.
