Samson at the Museum of Industry

At the Museum of Industry in Stellarton -- the largest museum in Canada -- visitors can witness the people, places, and machines of Nova Scotia's industrial history. One of the most tourist-attracting exhibits is Samson, a train built in 1838 and shipped to Nova Scotia in 1839. Samson ran a 10-kilometer route from Albion Mines to where the coal was dropped off, at the mouth of the East River. It's been on display at the Museum of Industry since 1990.
