Rudy's Drive-In

The largest root beer stand in the Midwest, Rudy’s Drive-In bills its triple-patty Monster Burger as a “sensational sandwich.” But it also offers lighter fare such as a 1/3-pound turkey burger and the Walnut Burger (seasoned walnut and cheese patty fully dressed on a bun), which was made famous by the historic Trempealeau Hotel, Restaurant, and Saloon, situated upriver some 20 miles from La Crosse. Rudy’s menu appeals to those who pull over simply to be served by an honest-to-goodness carhop. Summertime’s themed Cruise or Bike nights add to the fun.
