Rowan Oak

Description

Rowan Oak is the home of Nobel Prize-winning author William Faulkner. He spent much of his life in Oxford, and Mississippi is the setting for most of his novels. Faulkner readers will recognize many local landmarks that appear in his works. The outline for his novel "A Fable" is scrawled on the wall of his study. Faulkner was the writer-in-residence at the University of Virginia.
