Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary

Description

The Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary offers visitors the opportunity to connect with hundreds of species of fish, birds and wildlife that populate this vital, threatened ecosystem. Located on the Mississippi Flyway, the sanctuary has been designated as an Important Bird Area by the National Audubon Society. The sanctuary hosts an abundant array of waterfowl, shorebirds, raptors, warblers and wading birds. Bald eagles and trumpeter swans make their winter home here, while white pelicans and countless other species migrate through during spring and fall.
