Pioneer Living History Village

This is no ghost town. With costumed interpreters going through their daily chores, it's a fine place to get to know the everyday life of the Old West. This living history museum has 25 historical buildings on 90 acres of land. You might watch the blacksmith pounding horseshoes on his anvil or meet the schoolmarm in the one-room school house. They also have a church, an opera house and other buildings. Pioneer Living History Village is open Wednesday through Sunday, 9 AM to 5 PM from October to May; 8 AM to 2 PM from June to September. Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $5 for children (age 6-18), free for children 5 and under. They sometimes close on rainy days, so it's best to call ahead.
