Peabody Essex Museum

Description

The Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) located in East India Square is not only a museum, but an all-day interactive experience for families. Hands-on activities for children, a lunch at the Garden Restaurant, watching a live performance, and gazing at the sky from a light-filled atrium are just a few of the things you can do at Peabody Essex. Guided tours are available throughout the museum according to the exhibit you're interested in. A particularly popular exhibit is "Yin Yu Tang: A Chinese House," which features a 200-year old Chinese house that was reassembled and restored at the Peabody Essex Museum.
