Panguitch Pioneer Museum/LDS Bishop's Storehouse

Description

The Bishop's Storehouse was built in 1907 to store grain, flour, produce and livestock, which were paid to the Mormon Church as tithes. The local church Bishop would then give the produce and livestock to families in need of food. In 1964, the local Daughters of Utah Pioneers Camp obtained the building and turned it into a museum of pioneer artifacts including an original printing press. The museum is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 5-8 p.m. beginning Memorial Day through Labor Day.
