Ozark Folk Center State Park

Description

Ozark Folk Center State Park in Arkansas is a living history museum that preserves Southern mountain folkways and music of a bygone era. Visitors to Ozark Folk Center are greeted by master craftspeople quietly explaining their art, and with the sprightly sounds of banjos and fiddles and the alluring aroma of hot pies. The Craft Village's two dozen buildings and outdoor areas feature craft demonstrations and daytime music programs recalling the period of 1820-1920. Master craftspeople demonstrate furniture making, basketry, blacksmithing, broom making, pottery, printing, and needlecrafts.
