Owls Head Transportation Museum

Description

Necks twist and stretch as visitors watch the Red Baron's performance overhead in his Fokker Dr. I triplane. This is one of the many WWI-era airplanes the museum owns and actually flies at summer weekend events, where spectators can watch classic air shows or ride around in a Model T Ford. The museum keeps one of the finest collections of pioneer-era aircraft and automobiles in the world. More than 100 historic aircraft, automobiles, bicycles, carriages, and engines are on permanent display. Admission is charged; children and families receive a discount. Special event admission costs vary.
