Natural History Museum of Los Angeles

Description

The museum’s massive collection inspires children of all ages to get up close to animals displayed in artful dioramas. The superstar attraction is the Dinosaur Hall, which houses a staggering collection of bones, including a T-Rex growth series (the only one on earth), flying species, and even giant plant-eating reptiles. Other exhibits include the butterfly garden, extinct mammals, and California history. Although you’ll need a separate ticket, the La Brea Tar Pits & Museum is just 15 minutes away.
