Museum of Appalachia

Description

Tucked among picturesque peaks, this museum features some three dozen authentic log cabins including the Tennessee home of Samuel Clemens's (Mark Twain) family. Traditional crops sprout in gardens enclosed by split-rail fences, and livestock graze in nearby pastures. Special events bring country musicians, quilters, potters, and broommakers together while visitors sample fried apple pie and sassafras tea.
