Muhammad Ali Center

One of the world’s greatest heavyweight boxers and humanitarians was born Cassius Marcellus Clay in Louisville on January 17, 1942. The interactive exhibits, films, and memorabilia at this downtown museum document his life, his career, and his philosophy. Six immersive pavilions are named for and contain displays that illustrate Ali’s core values: Confidence, Conviction, Dedication, Respect, Giving, and Spirituality. In the Train with Ali exhibit, you can punch a speed bag or shadow box in a room that re-creates the late champ’s Deer Lake Training Camp.
