McPherson County Courthouse

Completed in 1893, the McPherson County Courthouse is a limestone structure towering over the downtown district of McPherson, Kansas. Its Romanesque style contrasts greatly to its surroundings and inside visitors will find that the building is completely symmetrical throughout. The intricate craftsmanship of this building is all about timing; it was constructed during a time when both materials and labor hit a remarkable low as the industrial age started to emerge.
