Maxwell Wildlife Refuge

Description

Maxwell Wildlife Refuge is situated along the Prairie Trail Scenic Byway, and is notable for its bounty of buffalo and elk. Take a scenic ride or photography tour with the Friends of Maxwell, caretakers of the refuge, where you can learn about the history of the area as well as get up close and personal with the animals. Tours are available year-round, and cost $8 per adult and $5 for children 3 and up.
