Maritime Museum of the Atlantic

Description

Situated on the Halifax waterfront, with a grand view of Halifax Harbor, this museum documents the maritime history of Atlantic Canada with exhibits on the Navy, Days of Sail, Shipwrecks and Lifesaving, the Titanic, the Halifax Explosion, the Age of Steam, and the restored ship chandlery of William Robertson and Son. The museum displays numerous small boats, a full-size replica of a coastal schooner, and Canada's first hydrographic vessel, CCS Acadia. A reference library is also on the premises.
