Lincoln Home National Historic Site

The only home Lincoln ever owned is this modest, two-story frame house he purchased for $1,200. It is decorated with period furnishings. Tour the parlor where he was asked to run for president. Lincoln would spread his papers on the parlor floor to read as no chair comfortably accommodated his lanky stature.
