Lake Ouachita State Park

Description

Cabins with fireplaces are available at Lake Ouachita State Park, home to one of the state's superior fishing lakes, where bass, crappie, bream, and catfish abound and stocked rainbow trout, northern pike, and stripers provide tackle-testing action. With 975 miles of rugged shoreline, the 40,000-acre lake conceals quiet coves ideal for water-skiing, sailing, kayaking, and scuba diving. Interpreter-led kayak exploration tours and overnight kayak expeditions with island camping take place several times a year.
