Lake of the Ozarks State Park & Ozark Cavern

Description

Missouri’s largest state park comprises 17,626 acres. It has 89 miles of shoreline, two swimming beaches, horseback riding, and more than 10 developed trails—one of which, the Ozarks Aquatic Trail, is designed for boaters, with 14 designated buoy stops along the shore. Take time for a guided tour of Ozark Caverns, a parks-operated cave, where you might spot the elusive blind grotto salamander. A highlight is the unusual Angel Showers formation. The never-ending shower of water comes out of a seemingly solid rock ceiling. Though not part of the park, Bridal Cave and Jacob’s Cave are two other popular caverns in the Lake Ozark area.
