Ladd Marsh Wildlife Area

Description

The Oregon Dept. of Fish and Wildlife has developed a 3,400 acre viewing and preservation area for birds and animals. Resident and migrating wildlife of all sizes and types can be seen in the marshlands and base of the Blue Mountains. A nature trail, viewing platform and auto tour on Peach Road, one mile off OR Hwy. 203 provide easy access. The viewpoint off Foothill Road south of La Grande provides a commanding view of the marsh, valley and distant mountain peaks. Wildlife is prevalent throughout the byway - keep your camera at hand.
