Georgia Museum of Art

Description

Take time for some serious culture at this 8,000-piece collection of paintings, prints and drawings, located on the University of Georgia campus. The permanent holdings focus on 19th- and 20th-century American works, with some European and Oriental pieces for good measure. Traveling exhibitions round out the regular displays. It's open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM (until 9 PM on Wednesday) and Sunday from 1 PM to 5 PM. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $2. You'll find it on the East Campus at 90 Carlton Street.
