Firefighters Museum

Description

The Firefighters' Museum in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia chronicles the history of firefighting with photographs, artifacts, and recollections. There's lots to explore, including antique fire hoses, vintage ladders, and one of the oldest surviving steamers in Canada — the 1863 Amoskeag Steamer. Kids can put on a helmet and "turn the wheel" of the fire truck. Both children and adults will enjoy hearing firefighting stories such as the Circus Ship Fire of 1963.
