Duck Mountain Provincial Park

This park covers 1,424 square kilometers of forest, woodlands, wetlands, and meadows dappled with deep blue lakes. Blue Lake, Childs Lake, Wellman, and Singuish are a few of spring-fed remnants of glacial times scattered throughout the park. The park's wide variety of wildlife includes bear, lynx, moose, coyotes, and wolves. Self-guided nature trails and longer hiking trails are available. You can enjoy swimming, scuba diving, boating, and picnicking in summer, and try ice fishing, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing in winter. Backcountry camping is available. Reservations: Manitoba has a central reservation telephone number for its provincial park campgrounds: 888-482-2267. A nonrefundable fee is charged for each reservation made. Manitoba also has a public information line for all its provincial parks: 800-214-6497.
