Dry Lakes Scenic Backway

Dry Lakes is a state designated Scenic Backway, a dirt road, that winds back behind red sandstone and granite mountains and opens up to a series of meadows. The backway provides sweeping views of Parowan Canyon, Sugarloaf Mountain, Cedar Breaks National Monument and Ashdown Gorge Wilderness Area. The backway also links up with Twisted Forest at the top of Brian Head Town and the north rim of Cedar Breaks National Monument. Dry Lakes is a 19-mile dirt road. The road is closed in the winter, but makes an excellent snowmobile trail.
