Deep River County Park Historic Mill

Description

At the working gristmill originally built in 1838, a miller uses 4,000-pound stones to grind corn, wheat, and rye. Nearby, vintage baseball team, the Deep River Grinders, play by 1858 rules against visiting Midwestern teams. It's a genteel sporting affair as fans cheer with "Well struck, sir!", "milk boy", and "puddin."
