Cedar Dunes Provincial Park


Located on a point of land extending into Egmont Bay, this park has a wide, smooth, sandy beach ideal for swimming, sunning, and strolling. Prime beach season is late June through Labor Day, when temperatures run in the 70s and 80s. The beach is lifeguarded in the summer; it offers showers, restrooms, and a changing house. Other amenities include campgrounds, picnic facilities, interpretive programs, and a lighthouse museum. Handicapped-accessible sites are available. Reservations are recommended for all sites from April through Labor Day. Pets: Leashed pets are permitted. Reservations and restrictions: Prince Edward Island provincial parks take reservations from April 1 through Labor Day. Call each park directly. For pre-season park information, call 800-463-4734. No alcohol is permitted in the provincial parks. This ban is strictly enforced.
