Cape Ann Museum

Cape Ann Museum. The large collection of paintings, drawings, and sculptures here includes works by local Cape Ann artists Fitz Henry Lane, John Sloan, Walker Hancock, and other 19th- and 20th-century American artists. Galleries devoted to the decorative arts, maritime themes, and granite quarrying explain the history of the area, and temporary exhibits rotate throughout the year, bringing the history of Cape Ann into context for a 21st-century audience.
