Description

This refuge is a resting and feeding area for migrating and wintering waterfowl. Huge flocks of Canadian geese stop here October through mid-March. Rare animals such as the bald eagle and the Delmarva fox squirrel can be seen here; Blackwater boasts the largest nesting population of bald eagles north of Florida.
