Billy Bishop Museum

Description

Located in Owens Sound, Canada, this museum is dedicated to the life and accomplishments of William Avery "Billy" Bishop. Bishop was known for his bravery and aviation skills during World War I. At the age of 24 he became Commander of the first Canadian Air Force. The home is where Bishop was born and raised; it was commissioned as a museum in 1987. Artifacts and exhibits preserve the life of Bishop as well as other notable war heroes.
