Best Li'l Corner Ice Cream Parlor

Located at the eastern edge of Hayesville next to the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center, this place began its life in 1930 as Gibson's Cash Store & General Merchandise. Today it's part antique store and part old-fashioned soda fountain, where customers sit at a long counter and order sodas, milkshakes, sundaes, banana splits, and slices of homemade pie. The crowded menu board also lists hot dogs, sandwiches, cheese fries, chili, pizza, italian sausage, and much more. The paneled walls and worn wooden floor are crammed with antiques and kitsch such as old metal advertising signs and lunchboxes, a barber pole, Coca-Cola memorabilia, a vintage gasoline pump, and cast-iron farm tools. Every Saturday the Best Lil Corner hosts live "country pickin'" beginning at 7:00 PM.
