Alpine Pond Trail - Cedar Breaks National Monument

Description

A half-day hike along Cedar Breaks National Monument’s Alpine Pond Trail provides visitors with an easy to moderate two-mile loop hike. The upper trail leads one through the forest trees, open meadows with an abundance of wildflowers ending at a small pond, where you might see a deer or two getting a drink. The lower trail winds along the rim, providing stunning views of Cedar Breaks’ multi-color amphitheater. You can start the loop trail at either Alpine Pond or Chessman Ridge overlooks. Hikers are encouraged to bring plenty of drinking water due to the high altitude.
